Summer Library Challenge: Home

The Challenge

The Challenge
Between June 1 - August 31, 2021, collect points for participating in different types of library activities: easy mode (1 point), standard mode (2 points), hard mode (3 points). Prizes will be awarded to individuals and line offices at the end of the summer based on total points.

How to Play
Click start each time you complete a challenge. This takes you to the form where you log your points.

  • You may still get points if you completed this before the challenge.

Challenges - Standard Mode

For 2 points:

  • Enter the link or DOI of the article in the form.

Attend a training for OverDrive

Create a new or update your existing ORCID and/or Researcher ID.

  • A unique, persistent identifier can help distinguish authors from others with the same name and provide a link between an author and their professional activities. There are a number of online resources that allow authors to create and manage a unique author identifier; some of which can be used in conjunction with one another allowing researchers to measure their impact within the scientific community.

Create an OpenAthens account with the DOC Library for access to their resources (such as Lexis and WestLaw)

  • You may still get points if you completed this before the challenge.

Challenges - Hard Mode

For 3 points:
