Abstract: This webinar will provide information, tools and methods pertaining to employee development needs for the NOAA workforce. This session will focus on promoting a learning culture as it relates to Career Paths in the CAPS system. The overview consists of CAPS and performance appraisals, individual development plans, and coaching and mentoring to assist you in your future career opportunities and endeavors.

About the Speakers: Sharon Harrell is a HR Specialist (Employee Development) within the Performance Culture and Learning Branch, Office of Human Capital Services, Silver Spring, Maryland. She is the Program Manager for the NOAA Onboarding and the NOAA-wide Mentoring Programs. She partners with OHCS staff and NOAA Line and Staff Offices to provide coaching and training to NOAA employees in various areas such as Emotional Intelligence, DISC, Individual Developments Plans, to name a few. 

Mrs. Tatiana Sims-Parker is the Office of Human Capital Services, Performance Culture Program Manager. She partners with the NOAA HR Business Advisors to provide consultation, guidance, training, and strategies for how to create an environment that views performance management as a part of everyday life as a leader. An environment that values its people and their contributions to the mission, values learning and development to maximize employee performance, and values innovation and continuous improvement to sustain organizational excellence.
