This guide provides migration and training information regarding the NOAA Library's network migration from SirsiDynix's Symphony Integrated Library System (ILS) to Ex Libris' Alma/Primo VE Library Service Platform (LSP), which is scheduled to go live on the first week of June 2022.
While the migration will impact everyone, the guide's primary intended audience is for NOAA Library staff, with specific pages dedicated to providing information for each of Alma/Primo VE's functional areas.
The further the migration progresses the more information will be added. Additional, any feedback is welcome and will contribute to the the LibGuide's growth overtime both as a tool during and after the migration.
For those with any questions, comments, or recommendations please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Intended for NOAA library staff, the Alma / Primo listservs are unmoderated discussion lists about Ex Libris' Library Service Platform. Both listservs are active and informative.
The NOAA Central Library is to support and further NOAA’s mission of promoting global environmental stewardship in order to conserve and wisely manage the Nation's marine and coastal resources; and describing, monitoring, and predicting changes in the Earth's environment in order to ensure and enhance sustainable economic opportunities.
